Rancho Cotate High School’s TAG Building has become a highly desirable venue for sporting events since its completion in the spring of last year. This weekend the state-of-the-art facility will host the North Bay League basketball tournament finals tip off. The name TAG stands for Theater-Arts-Gymnasium, which is exactly what the 75,000 square foot building encompasses; studios and classrooms designed for the arts, modern instruction and athletics along with a 250-seat performing arts theater make up the space within the building. The 40,000 SF gym portion will comfortably fit 2,500 fans in the bleachers, more than Haehl Pavilion at Santa Rosa Junior College or the Wolves’ Den at Sonoma State University.
