Course Title: Designing a Commercial Wine Facility for Flex Use
Course Description: Participants will tour Rack & Riddle, a convertible winery facility in Hopland, CA where they will discuss effective design/build teams, the design requirements, material selection, construction cost analyst, and emerging construction technologies within the wine industry.
- Participant will review new wine industry building trends which are currently leaning towards collaborative flexible design/build teams.
- Participants will differentiate the design requirements between small and large capacity wineries.
- At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to analyze construction costs decisions as they relate to production capacity.
- Participants will explore crush facility design for combined sparkling and still wine production; including the material selection, and emerging construction technologies which afford this flexibility.
