On January 2, 2020, we lost a dear member of our Wright Contracting family. Joseph Grulich, father of two, passed away at age 38 after a courageous battle with cancer. Joe received his Bachelors degree in engineering from California Polytechnic State University, joined Wright Contracting in 2011 and went on to specialize in school construction, managing landmark projects such as the $70M DeAnza High School Campus, $14M El Cerrito High School Stadium, $13M St. Helena High School Auditorium, $14M Marin Academy Science and Innovation Building and the $48M Rancho Cotate High School Theater/Auditorium/Gymnasium. Joe married Rachel Maya Gioseffi in 2013 and they had 2 boys, Emilio and Michael. Joe was a devoted father with a passion for fishing, traveling, hiking and camping. He was known for his sense of humor, his smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Angela, and his wife, Rachel. He is survived by his 2 children, Emilio and Michael, by his father, Josef, and his brother, Alfredo (Natalie). We feel honored to have had the privilege of knowing and working with Joe and we miss him dearly. A fund has been set up in Emilio and Michael’s names at Chase Bank.
