Wright hereby requests subcontractor bid proposal for the above project.  This project is in the Preliminary Design Phase and is out for competitive pricing to general contractors.  It is the intent of Wright to select a subcontractor in each of the major trades areas and design/build scopes, and to negotiate final pricing.  Please submit bid proposals in written form via fax (707) 528-3714 or email to both rgrossmann@wrightcontracting.com and bwalker@wrightcontracting.com .

Proejct Description:   3,000 SF residence - single story, wood framed, structural concrete structure.
Scope of work includes the following trades:  sitework; building and site concrete; structural concrete; CMU; structural steel; misc. metals and railings; rough carpentry; casework; insulation; waterproofing; membrane roofing; flashing and sheet metal; doors, frames and hardware; aluminum storefronts; glass and glazing; lath and plaster; gypsum wallboard; ceramic tile; wood ceilings; floor coverings - wood flooring and stone floor tile; toilet and bath accessoreis; residential appliances; swimming pool; design/build fire protection; design/build HVAC, design/build plumbing and design/build electrical work.

LOGAN PLACE APARTMENTS

BID DATE EXTENTION:   Per WCI Addendum #1 (below) - the bid date has been extended until 5:00 pm, Thursday, February 16, 2012.

Wright is seeking subcontractor and material supplier bids for the Logan Place Apartments project - a 66 unit (100,000 SF), 3 story, concrete podium, wood framed construction and a community building.  Wright is the negotiated general contractor for this project.  Please refer to the attached Invitation to Bid for a list of trades.   We are seeking bid proposals for all trades except surveying (this has been contracted direct with owner).  Subcontractors must submit a response to the Invitation to Bid to receive bid updates. Note this project includes the following:

  • Prevailing Wage Rate Requirements - both State AND Federal (Davis Bacon):  Please refer to bid documents for labor compliance program, wage determinations, certified payrolls, apprentices, etc.
  • Federal Nondebarment Certificate:  Subcontractors must submit certification with bid proposal stating that firm has not bee debarred/suspended/declared ineligible to perform Federal work.  Refer to specs for certification form.
  • MBE/WBE Participation:  Minority / Women-owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid.  This project has a MBE goal of 9.1% for each trade and WBE goal of 6.9%.  Contact Barbara Walker for assistance with bid documents, scope of work breakdowns, insurance, etc.
  • Section 3 Compliance (Opportunities for low-income persons/businesses):  Section 3 hiring goal is 30% low-income, local (Sonoma County) worker utilization for new hires.  Subcontractors must adhere to hiring requirements. Section 3 also includes a goal of 10% of total construction be subcontracted to local, low-income businesses.  Refer to bid documents for additional information.

Construction duration is 12 months, with an estimated start date of May 1, 2012.
Wright Contracting, Inc. is signatory to Carpenters Local Union 751.
